Used Rp for the lumber/supplied to build our deck. Good service and helpful workers.

We had a really bad experience with RP Lumber. A contractor, who we had already paid, was not paying his bills at RP Lumber. All of a sudden we start getting the threatening letters, etc.

However, when I asked to see an itemized list of what was owed, RP refused to give us one, saying it was a privacy issue between them and the contractor! Needless to say, we had to pay the bills in the blind to preserve our "good name" and avoid a mechanics lien.

After writing the check and handing it over to RP Lumber, a dufus female clerk blurted out to the show-room full of people, "Now you don't owe us no more money".

Never again have we ever patronized RP Lumber, and make sure to tell everyone we meet about our lousy experience with them.

The big warehouse stores are fine, but the service here is very personable. Prices might be a little higher, but not enough to make it worth driving across town.
