J Bruner's Restaurant & LoungeSubmitted by LOTOinfo on Sat, 01/04/2006 - 1:00am.Fine Dining
Love the salad, and the fried lobster and filet migon Love the food and the staff at J Bruner's... Long time one of my favorite places to eat!! Fine Dining, Expensive, smaller portions than I'd like, but good food. I love J Bruners. I have been there before proms (Punga for you true Lake folks) as a teenager and as an adult we have celebrated a multitude of occasions with them. Great food, slow service, but great food! I love the onion rings and salad. A good place to go for a special celebration. Service & food are terrific. A bit pricy Good steaks, Good Service, Boring Atmosphere Need to try the onion rings for an appetizer. Service is fancy. I was very disappointed in the food during our last visit. Small portions and slow service. Good onion rings; expensive prices for the food; atmosphere is lacking. The best chicken livers I've ever eaten. Also really good onion rings and croutons. A little pricey but we go there on special occasions. the food and service were great. they were able to seat a party of 20 in 15 minutes. The service is great & the food is good. Best onion rings in town! Batter fried lobster & filet is wonderful! Food is alright - not our favorite steak at the lake. The atmosphere is lacking - dated decor. Even if you wait, it will be worth every mouth-watering minute. Great food! By the time you fill up on their wonderful onion rings, all you can seem to eat is a salad and soup. Their house salad and french onion soup are terrific for light eaters! Love, Love, Love the onion rings! It is a quiet and relaxed atmosphere which is wonderful if you are tired of all the lake noise. And isn't that what we're here for? When I come off the lake and want to be refreshed, Bruner's is my choice. Excellent steaks, prime rib (wife's fav), and sea food (love the deep fried lobster). The founding chef worked at Potted Steer for years before opening this establishment. His daughter carries on with the fine tradition. Had the Salmon w/ white wine sauce, last visit (very good). Don't forget the onion rings! Dress from a formal to casual and always welcomed with a smile. Didn't this used to be Tally Ho about 25 years ago? Maybe I'm remembering wrong. Yeah, it doesn't have a great view, but it's a nice place to go to eat. You can go look at the Lake after dinner, lol! Great food, Great wine. boring atmosphere Love the food here but very boring atmosphere. If the eating area was more inviting, we would frequent this place more than we do. |
