Batter fried lobster is wonderful. Parking is not the best. High prices.

Excellent food and great lake view! Right in the heart of Osage Beach makes it very convenient!

if a restaurant has been around as long as the potted steer then there is a reason... good food, good service.

I would pick the Potted Steer if I had my choice to go anywhere for dinner! Lots of good memories here. Hope it is always there!

The service is great, but some of their food is not as good as it should be for the price. Their fried chicken is never cooked enough. I do prefer their sister restaurant, The Blue Heron, much better. If you are going to pay the high prices, the food and atmosphere is better there.

Like the food and the casual atmosphere. Parking can be tricky though. Service is great.

The food was good but not as good as some other higher priced restaurants. I just didn't feel I got my money's worth like at other places.

Just as good as the Blue Heron.

This restaurant is owned by the person who owns The Blue Heron. The food is great at both places. The service is great & we enjoy the casual atmosphere.

Expensive food, but it's sooo good!

I think of the Potted Steer as a smaller scale/version of the Blue Heron. On the more expensive side, but items like Batter Fried lobster are worth it. Food is similar to Blue Heron, but more casual it seems.

Great place to go to celebrate a special occasion. The batter fried lobster is my favorite and I love the salad. Expensive but good.
